LONDON (AFX) - Ark Therapeutics Group PLC said a study has confirmed the therapeutic effect of Vitor in cancer cachexia. It said the study has shown Vitor significantly slows progression of cachexia in two cancer types -- non-small cell lung and colorectal.

Researchers from Sweden have found that women aged 70-84 years have up to a 13% lower chance of surviving breast cancer than those aged 50-69 years. In paper published in the open access medical journal PLoS Medicine, they show that this difference in survival appears to be due to differences in diagnosis and treatment, rather than the presence of other illnesses... click link for more info.

Proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) of the breast has high sensitivity for all invasive cancers types, regardless of histology. Lia Bartella, a radiologist at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre in New York, performed MRS on 30 women with invasive breast cancer.
